What's the difference between a dietitian and a nutritionist?

Dietitians must complete an accredited dietetics degree from an Australian university. "Nutritionist" isn't a legally protected title, so anyone can use it, with or without formal training.

What do the professional associations mean?

Aleesha is a member of Dietitians Australia and Sports Dietitians Australia. Dietitians Australia is the national body for dietitians. Professional associations support their members to keep up with research and good practice.

How does Aleesha work?

“I believe in a compassionate, individualised, and evidence-based approach to care, recognising that nutrition looks different for everyone.”

How will you pay?

Private, Medicare and NDIS clients are all welcome.

Private

No referral needed. You pay for each session directly.

Medicare

To claim a Medicare rebate, ask your GP about a chronic condition management plan. A referral on its own isn't enough. With a plan, Medicare covers part of the cost of a limited number of allied health sessions each year, and our team can explain what that means for you.

NDIS

We're a registered NDIS provider. You'll need funding for dietetics in your NDIS plan, then you can send us a referral. Plan-managed, self-managed and NDIA-managed plans are all accepted.
