Our Autism Assessments are conducted by experienced psychologists and are overseen by clinical psychologists. These assessments are essential for families seeking clarity about ASD and potentially obtaining NDIS funding for necessary supports.

Initial Consultation:

• The process begins with a pre-assessment interview, which can be conducted over the phone or in-person, typically scheduled a day or a few days before the main assessment. This initial consultation helps our team understand the individual's background and specific needs.

Assessment Day:

• The assessment is carried out in our clinic, lasting about 2.5 to 3 hours. It includes a combination of direct observation and interactive activities with the child, tailored to gauge a range of developmental areas relevant to ASD.

Post-Assessment:

• After completing the assessment, our psychologist compiles a comprehensive report detailing the findings and recommendations. This report is usually ready within 2 to 3 weeks, provided there are no delays in gathering additional information.

Each Autism Assessment at Conscious Healthcare SA includes:

• A two-hour in-person meeting with the parent or guardian.
• 1.5 hours of observation with the child.
• Coordination with the child’s school to gather pertinent information (30 mins).
• Extensive report writing (7 hours).
• A final discussion to go over the insights and recommendations from the report (30 mins to 1 hour).
